Football Governance Bill To Get Second Reading

Last updated : 03 April 2014 By Covsupport News Service

The Football Governance Bill is to get a Second Reading in the House Of Commons.

The bill requires all professional and semi-professional football clubs to disclose the identity of their owners, something which Coventry City's owners SISU have been very coy about, and give the FA powers to block anyone owning a club who is not a fit and proper person.

The Bill presented by Damien Collins MP, had its first reading last June and has now been given a date of May 16th for a second hearing which will be changed as parliament is not sitting on that date.
