A report issued today by the Football League has said that from January to June of this year,Coventry City paid £21,500 in fees to agents.
The club had 17 transactions which equates to seven new registrations,one updated contract,one cancelled contract and eight players on loan.
The fees paid by City pail into insignifiance when Derby paid a staggering £279,000 and West Ham £243,000. Crewe,Crystal Palace,Preston,Sunderland, Watford and Wimbledon did not pay any fees at all.
In total,all 72 Football League clubs used agents in 12% of the 963 transactions, paying them £1.4m for their services,of wihch £1.13m came from Division One clubs.
