Football League Extend TV Coverage Deals

The Football League have announced new deals with both Sky Sports and ITV for televised coverage. Sky beat off Setanta to retain the rights to live matches until 2009 Around 100 matches will be shown live including league games as well as the League Cup,LDV Trophy and play-offs.

ITV will continue to have highlights until 2009 and will continue with the popular Sunday morning " The Championship" programme as well as midweek regional highlights of league and league cup games.
