Covsupport News Service understands that the Football League has received a number of complaints from Coventry City supporters.
The complaints follow the Sky Blues selling out their allocation of around 2,300 tickets for the vital game at Ashton Gate on Monday for which supporters paid up to £25 per ticket, only for Bristol City, on hearing news that City had snapped up all their tickets, issued a local promotion whereby home fans can get in for £10.
There is actually little that the Football League can do as clubs are entitled to have four local promotions a season, which means for four games they are able to circumvent the rules preventing differental charging of prices for the same areas.
The Football Supporters Federation are campaigning for Football League rule 31.2.11* to be changed and an end put to local promotions which are unfair to supporters.
