Former City Coach Dies

Former Coventry City coach Tommy Casey has died.

The Northern Irishman who played for Newcastle United in the 1955 FA Cup Final, passed away in a North Somerset nursing home on January 13th aged 78.

Tommy left Newcastle in 1958 and played for Portsmuth and Bristol City before player-managing Gloucester City.

He then went to Canada before returning to coach Swansea, Everton and the Sky Blues in the late 1960's before taking on manager's jobs at Distillery and Grimsby.

His funeral was on Friday in Nailsea near Bristol.
