Former Coventry City loanee Carl Dickinson has left Port Vale.
The left back failed to agree terms on a new deal after being asked to take a large pay cut and after three years,
Dickinson said on social media: "Firstly I would like to thank Port Vale for a great three years at the club, really wanted to stay but sadly we couldn't come to an agreement over terms.
"I've had a great time there and made some good friends and met some good people.
"I would like to thank Micky Adams for bringing me to the club and Rob Page for helping me along the way.
"And also to the fans who were brilliant with me from Day One and helped me through a tough time with the death of my mum which is something I won't forget.
"I want to wish all the lads, staff and fans all the very best for the future."
