Former Coventry City youngster Liam Davis has signed for Torquay United.
The winger who had the nickname Dwiss at City, got his Football League debut with City and has played for Peterborough, Oxford, Yeovil, Gais of Sweden and a spell at Cheltenham Town.
“Liam is a player who has done the business at a far higher level,” said Torquay boss Kevin Nicholson.
“He has had an injury setback but is now fully fit, and ready to show the Yellow Army what he is all about.
“He’s an intelligent and forward-thing person, and footballer, who fits into what I’m trying to achieve. He has huge athletic potential and a fantastic left-foot (almost as good as the manager) and can play a number of positions down the left flank.
“His experience will help the younger players and it all just adds to my excitement for the start of pre-season, which begins nice and early tomorrow morning.”
