Paul Telfer has signed a one year deal with AFC Bournemouth. The midfielder who followed Gordon Strachan to Southampton and Celtic has moved to a club reasonably close to his family home. It was family problems that saw the Scot walk out of Celtic in April.

Liam Daish, manager of Ebbsfleet (formerly Gravesend & Northfleet) has agreed a one year deal to keep him at the Conference club.

Burnley have denied that a consortium headed by Peter Reid has made a bid for control of the Clarets. A statement claimed that any move by Reid for the club would be a waste of time.
