The diminutive former Coventry City striker Michael Mifsud, who failed to find employment after leaving The Sky Blues for over seven months, has finally settled down and is scoring goals.
VALLETTA president Victor Sciriha has said that Michael Mifsud wants to play abroad next season, but if he wants to stay in Malta the door is open for him to stay with his current side.
Sciriha told The Times of Malta, "Some questioned our decision to sign Michael at this late stage of the season but I was convinced that he would be an asset to our team."
"He has already scored two goals in his first two games for us but I don't think we've seen the best of Mifsud, but I'm confident that he will peak at the right moment. I'm pleased that Michael is proving his worth. He's very happy here as he has found an excellent atmosphere in the dressing room."
"Mifsud's ambition is to continue his career overseas next season but if he stays here, I have no doubt that he will sign for Valletta again."
