Seemingly the prospect of managing a club with debts of around £25m and no money to spend on players, with a despotic Chairman who demands "Instant Success" is an attractive one.
Adding to the list of those already linked with the club are former Sky Blues in Dave Jones,Terry Yorath and Stuart Pearce.
Jones was sacked by Wolves earlier in the season and is remembered by City supporters as a defender who did not perform for the Sky Blues. The same cannot be said of Stuart Pearce, a hero in his time at Highfield Road before he moved on to international fame with England. Having passed his coaching badges, Pearce is currently a coach at Manchester City and would be a popular appointment.
Terry Yorath was also a popular player in his time at Coventry in the late 1970's. Yorath has managed at international level with Wales and Lebanon.
