The Board of Coventry City (Holdings) Ltd will meet on Friday to discuss two bids the club have received.
The first comes from former Manchester City player Ray Ranson's whose consortium have also been linked with Southampton and had previously pulled out of a bid for Aston Villa.
Friday Meeting For Bid Talks
Having made his money in sports insurance, with groups like Benfield Greig, Ranson, whose consortium showed an interest in City very early on, is believed to be worth £30m.
The second will not lay easy with City supporters in that the man behind the second consortium is former Acting Chairman Geoffrey Robinson. There have been rumours over the last few days that they would wait until the club was in administration before they would do a deal but the CT believe that they may be an 11th hour bidder.
Robinson's time at City, in which many believe he has made his money out of the club, saw debts of £60m, then back up to £26m and the last reports were debts of £39m, although some of those were to the MP whose politicial life is as colourful as his involvement with Coventry City FC. At this moment in time, it is unknown who is also involved in this consortium.
Both bids are believed to want both the club and the Arena which won an award from the British Chamber of Commerce as the West Midlands Business of the Year despite losing £400k last year.
