Member Alastair Laurie presented the COVENTRY CITY LONDON SUPPORTERS CLUB PLAYER OF THE SEASON 2016/17 AWARD after the Walsall game.
This is the 40th consecutive year that the presentation for the Coventry City London Supporters Club Player of the Season award has been made.
It is, in our opinion, a truly unique award, as it captures votes from members for every match that they attend throughout the season; each member is entitled to vote for their top three players each game they attend.
This year’s winner received a record number of votes, despite missing several games in January and February.
He was the CCLSC members man of the match on 13 occasions (more than double that of any other player) and voted in the top three in over 20 games.
A truly remarkable achievement which reflects his performances on the pitch. This and his passion for football and the great football club that we support set him apart and make him Our Man of the Season.
In third place this season was Ben Stevenson
In second place was Lee Burge
But the 2016/17 Coventry City London Supporters Club Player of the Season winner joins Peter Ndlovu, who won the award in 1992/93, to become the second African born player to win the award is Gael Bigirimana.
Finally. enormous thanks go again to our own Man of the Midlands, Barry Chattaway, for his diligent chasing and collating of the votes.
