A straw poll on GMK provided more proof with virtually no support for the former City player and manager with a poll run by IcCoventry making McAllister slightly more popular than bottom ranked Adrian Heath.
Such is the opposition of a return for McAllister, whose record during his time at Highfield Road is less than impressive, that a number of influential supporters have threatened to withdraw their financial support whilst some season ticket holders have said they will not renew.
Which for a club in the financial predicament it currently finds itself in with rumours of players wages being paid very late and crowds down to the 16,000 mark, is not what is needed.
