Coventry City's Gary McSheffrey could not contain his delight after converting two penalties to give the Sky Blues a 2-1 win over a Leeds United for whom he was once on loan at.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, McSheffrey said: "I'm delighted. First and foremost, the win was the main thing as it just looked as though it was going to be a draw. But we kept pushing and pushing, never giving up.
"Alex (Nimely) produced another piece of magic once again to get us that last chance and I am just thrilled that the penalty went in and we get the three points.
"On a personal note, it was a great night. It is no secret that I didn't have a good spell at Leeds and their fans don't really let me forget that.
"There were a couple of tough moments and that penalty in the first half, facing their fans, it was nice for it to go in. I have waited two years for that and it was great to get the opportunity.
"In last minute as well, the nerves were going a bit but I thought just put your foot through it and when it went in, it is best feeling I have had in a long time."
