Coventry City defender Richard Wood has said that scoring goals will help him attain a regular place in the City side.
Speaking to the CT, Wood, who feels he can add to his tally of goals said; “I speak to Rich Keogh about it a lot and the other night we both seemed to get our heads on everything, or just close, and I know that I can be a goal threat and that’s what I am going to work on,” he said.
“As well as my defending, I am going to work on the attacking side of my game to make sure I get a few goals this season because I know I can get there and be a threat, it’s just a case of finishing in the back of the net.
“I like to think a goal scoring centre-half is worth their weight in gold and I just need to make sure I get goals when I do play.
“We have got a good mix of quality defenders and we have all got our own attributes and the gaffer has got a decision to make."
