Ricoh Arena Managing Director Andy Gibb feels that trains services which will use the Coventry Arena train station can be improved in time.
Gibb told Simon Gilbert of the Coventry Telegraph: “This is the first of a two-phase rail service and long term, the station will be a very exciting development for the Ricoh Arena because it will significantly improve access to events at the venue and for supporters attending Wasps and Coventry City games.
“Currently, we have a good transport system in place for visitors arriving from all over the UK thanks to our location near the M6 and the fact we have 2,000 on-site car-parking spaces as well as park and walk sites.
“We are advising London Midland on alternative options so that we can continue to make it as easy as possible for people visiting the Ricoh Arena.”
