Cardiff City boss Malky McKay has called upon Wales boss Gary Speed to call up Ben Turner for Wales.
The former Coventry City defender who will be back at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday night with the Bluebirds for the first time since his £750k move, something which McKay describes as a bargain, qualifies for Wales through a grandmother.
Although, the Birmingham born defender would love to play for England, it is understood that the FAW are set to contact him to confirm his eligibilty to play for the principality.
Speaking to the BBC, McKay said: "The size and population of Wales, like Scotland, you need every good player you can get.
"So if there is a link and an availability of players of a good standard then great.
"I think it is necessary countries do their homework and manage to check out players.
"And if it was me, I'd cap him tomorrow to make sure they get him."
