The veteran defender in his tenth season at Highfield Road was rejected last season for a benefit match by Mike McGinnity and his board who incidently paid for Shaw to join the Sky Blues from Crystal Palace.
The defender who has won a number of player of the year awards and attained cult status when he scored at Gillingham last season, is out of contract at the end of the season.
