Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has told Aaron Phillips to go and get games elsewhere.
The City boss said about Phillips, who came through City's Academy, to the Coventry Telegraph: “Why would you want to be a squad player here with six, seven, eight games next year.
“Go and play 40 games for someone and he has the power and talent and assets to become more than capable of playing at the level Coventry City are playing at.
“But I feel at this moment in his life that he needs to get away from Coventry a bit and go and play some football in another team. Aaron and Conor Thomas fall into the same boat really."
