Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has told defender Cyrus Christie that if he is leaving the club to get on with it.
Christie is out of contract on June 30th and the City boss has told him to get himself a new club so that City can boost their money for transfers.
The City manager told Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph: “I don’t need that money from Cyrus to enable me to recruit but we don’t want it dragging on.
“I’ve obviously got a budget and everyone in the league structure is governed by Financial Fair Play.
“But just now I have a surplus of money to go out and bring in a number of new recruits but I still also need to move the pack a little bit, Cyrus being one of them that will help in the recruitment process.
“So I have got money but we’re all governed by the fair play rules. But Cyrus moving on would create even more funds for me so there’s no doubt it would provide additional funding in order to help the process of recruitment.”
