Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said it would be good if the deal to sign Carl Baker from Stockport County went through.
City have been trying to land the midfielder who scored against Leeds on Monday but the Hatters are in administration and negotiations have been difficult.
Speaking to the CT, Coleman said: “He is a player I like but it is not clean cut because they are in administration. The chairman has had long discussions with them and as I understand it we are not a million miles apart so it would be nice if it could happen.”
