"Everything is fine following the operations and I trained last week with no reaction, so hopefully that is the end of the problems," said McPake to the CT.
"I had two hernia operations. "I went out to Germany one week and then again the next. It was sore for a couple of days but I have had them done before and I knew what to expect and it was fine.
"They say the woman surgeon over in Munich is the best at it and has worked on a lot of the bigger players as well - people like Michael Owen - so she must be the right person and hopefully that will be the end of it.
"So hopefully she has cured it and there won't be any more problems."
