Youth Development Officer Trevor Gould is to be made redundant by the Sky Blues as the City Board look to cut costs. Gould has worked for the club for thirteen years and played for five years.
He told the CET: "I had five years as a player and 13 happy years as a coach, youth development officer and director of youth. "I have seen a lot of lads progress up through the ranks and it is always a great pleasure to see them reach the first team.
"I am proud to have set up the business plan to set up the academy and help get the club to two FA Youth Cup finals and this year's play-off finals where we unfortunately lost out to Blackburn Rovers.
"I just hope the club retain their academy status now and continue to enjoy success, and that goes for Micky Adams and the first team next season and in the future.
"It has been a real team effort and I have had the pleasure of working with some great people in my 13 years."
