Coventry City's young central defender Jermaine Grandison has returned to the club after a successful loan spell at Tranmere Rovers.
The 20 year old academy graduate has arrived back at his parent club at an opportune moment as James McPake has been sidelined by a back or hamstring injury for between four to six weeks and fellow academy graduate Ben Turner is still about two weeks away from being able to play again.
City boss Aidy Boothroyd could throw Grandison straight into the action in the FA Cup home tie against fellow Championship club Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Tranmere Rovers were sorry to see Grandison leave at the end of his loan spell in the north west and gave him a rousing send off.
Tranmere Rovers' manager Les Parry said "The lads gave him a round of applause in the dressing room because he has done so well for us."
