John Ledwidge, head groundsman at the Ricoh Arena has hit back at comments regarding the state of the pitch made by some of the media during last Thursday's JPT win against Preston North End.
Mr Ledwidge wrote on Facebook: "After a taking a beating in the media, our pitch has been marked over the divisonal average at 4.08 out of 5.
"We will continue to work as hard as ever for our club to produce standards with little or no resource and limited staff.
"Despite the pitch looking sorry for itself. I'm proud of myself and my team for how weve coped with the toughest season in terms of play we've ever had. Well done lads and thank you."
