Gunnarsson has yet to set show the form he displayed last season which saw him scoop a number of awards including the Covsupport News Service Young Player Of The Year Award but he showed a positive responce when he came on in the 77th minute of Saturday's game.
"Aron was left out because he has not shown the type of form we know he is capable of and Isaac has come and done absolutely magnificent, so it is good for all of us," said Coleman to the CT.
"I have been in this job long enough to know that sometimes you get good reactions and sometimes you get bad reactions.
"But the way he went on the pitch I think it was a good reaction. He doesn't want to be left out any more than anyone else.
"The kid has got so much more to give. We all know it, he knows it.
"He has got one or two issues off the pitch which will be sorted and once he gets back to delivering - which he will do - and you get that with young players.
"They go up and down, but once he gets back to delivering what he is capable he'll be fine.
"We want it to happen sooner rather than later but the good thing is Ozzy has come in and done a terrific job. But Aron will be all right and be back soon enough."
