Mick Halsall has joined Coventry City as the Academy's Head Of Coaching.
The Merseyside born Halsall started on the books of Liverpool FC, but left and went onto play for Birmingham City, Carlisle United, Grimsby Town and Peterborough United, where he made 249 appearances before playing once for Irish side Finn Harps.
As a coach, Halsall coached at Peterborough and Barnet before going to Walsall where he helped former City defender Scott Dann and the likes of Troy Deeney and Matty Fryatt develop their talent.
Halsall has come into City's Academy to replace Tony Cook who is now working at Crewe Alexandra.
