Loanee Gary Gardner admitted that he was happy to have opened his Coventry City goals account on his debut but disappointed that City lost 2-1 at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Speaking to the Sky Blue Player, Gardner said: "I'm happy with my goal but disappointed to lose.
“I hate losing and felt we played them off the park in the second half and had a few chances but we have got to take them.
"It was my Football League debut so to score a goal and get this experience is massive. I think I can thrive on that push on and get a few more goals.
"You have to take the positives because if you dwell on the negative you won't get anywhere.
"In the second half I found that Sammy and I can play well together and pass it and move it.
"Every time I get in the box I look to score and I think it was handball so we should have had a penalty. But I will look to continue to get forward and score goals to help us get points and move up the table."
