Harris- Sending Off Was The Turning Point

Last updated : 16 April 2016 By CNS Staff

Millwall boss Neil Harris has said that the sending off of Shaun Williams was the turning point of the game.

Millwall were leading when Williams for some reason, decided to head butt Ruben Lameiras and was sent off. City came back in the second half with goals from John Fleck and Marcus Tudgay to take a 2-1 win.

Speaking to Millwall's club website, Harris said: "We were in control of the game until the sending-off.

"That was clearly the turning point and having had a brief look at the incident again I haven't got any complaints.

"I felt even with ten men we were defending well and limiting their chances until they equalised with a wonder-strike. I was disappointed with the second goal, but we were unfortunate not to nick another one ourselves near the end.

"I praised the players for their efforts afterwards, and now we must recover quickly ready for another big game at The Den on Tuesday night."
