Hartlepool Appoint Hughes After Brown Talks Stall

Coventry City will face a Hartlepool United which will have former Livingston manager John Hughes in charge of them on Saturday.

Phil Brown had been expected to be unveiled as the new manager but at the 11th hour, according to the Hartlepool Mail, the talks stalled and fell through.

Hughes, then quit his role at Livingston and the former Falkirk and Hibs manager has been appointed First Team Coach.

Caretaker Micky Barron will work alongside Hughes and will keep his reserve team job.
