Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has banned the players from wearing hats whilst they train in the current cold snap which has affected Britain over the last week.
"I don't allow the players to wear hats in training because you can't take them out on the pitch on a Saturday can you.," said Boothroyd to Sky Blue Player at the club's weekly press conference.
"Gloves fine. But we need to prepare for whatever can be thrown at us whether it's the opposition or the conditions and you will get all kinds of conditions whether it's frost, wind, mud or whatever, you have to play through it.
"I think it's important that the players are hardy because it's a hard, physical and competitive league and you need to practice in a way that you can take into a game because if you are going to be better then you have to raise the bar every day.
"Excellence is a habit, I have no doubt about it and the minute you think you can switch it on and off like a light then you are in trouble.
"I think that's where alot of teams can fall down and we certainly won't be doing that."
