The owners of a seventy one acre site which used to house Hawkesbury golf course have said that they would be willing to sell the land to Coventry City if they wanted to build a stadium on it.
Julian Kemp, land consultant at Bristol-based Tetlow King, said to the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert: “We are not averse to any approaches from anyone.
“We have not had any direct contact from the football club at this stage, but it is not unusual for developers to make enquiries to local authorities before contacting the land owner.
“We are committed to promoting the land for development over the next couple of years, and the Trust wants to maximise the value of the land, so we are open to a potential sale to anyone as long as it is in a development context."
