Coventry City defender Colin Hawkins is enjoying being back in a Sky Blue shirt. The centre half who joined City from Dublin based Shelbourne said to the CT: "I have enjoyed every minute. "There have been some big changes with the new manager coming in but I have played seven games since I arrived and, personally, I am delighted with the way things have gone. "There are 10 games left and I want to stay in the team for as long as possible.
Hawkins Enjoying Being Back At Cov
"It has gone OK apart from one or two blips along the way. "I made a little mistake against Norwich and things like that play on my mind a bit, although the gaffer has told me to forget about it and just get on with my game. "But I am always looking to improve and the manager has been brilliant with me, taking one on one sessions with me now and again, and just working on bits of my game."
"There are some super players here and you always have competition for places. "Pagey has been great with me and I am learning off him every day in training and that's what you need to push you on a bit. "I have the jersey at the minute and the manager has been great with me, but I know that one poor game and I could be out of the team, and that's the standards you have to set for yourself."
"Every day I have been here has been like a trial for me, to be honest. "I had to train for the first few days just to earn a contract and Adrian Heath had a lot of faith in me and gave me that contract. "Then I was lucky for the first game because Pagey was out and I got my chance against Luton and we luckily kept a clean sheet which looked decent for myself, and I have stayed in the team since then. "But I know I am only as good as my last game and I know I have got to keep doing it every week.
