Coventry City target David Healy is favouring a move to former club Leeds United.
The Northern Ireland legend is likely to be allowed to leave the Stadium Of Light by Mackams boss Steve Bruce and told the Belfast Telegraph: “If there was a club I was ever going to go back to play for, it would be Leeds. “I have huge affection for the club."
With Healy, seemingly wanting to play for a club which looks likely to win something this year, Coventry City are expected to continue with their interest in Southend striker Lee Barnard.
A bid by Leeds had been denied by Southend's Chairman and although, Southampton, are interested, City appear in the driving seat for the 25 year former Spurs player if they wish to go down that particular avenue.
