Former Coventry City midfielder Colin Healy will have to wait to make his debut for Eircom League club Cork City.
Healy had played for two clubs and signed a deal back for Cork in February but fell foul of FIFA's ruling that a player cannot be registered to more than two clubs in any twelve month period from July 1st to June 30th.
Healy Has To Wait
Healy and Gareth Farrelly who was in the same boat, appealed at a Court Of Arbitration For Sport hearing in Lausanne,Switzerland along with legal representatives and Cork boss Damien Richardson.
However, The tribunal upheld the initial ruling (despite the precedent concerning Liverpool Javier Mascherano) but singled out the lack of transparency in FIFA's regulations. The Turners Cross club were not ordered to pay any costs.
