Former Coventry City keeper Magnus Hedman has turned down a chance to play for Manchester City.
Mark Hughes side have been given dispensation by the Premier League to sign a temporary goalkeeper to stand in for Joe Hart who was injured in the 2-2 draw at Hull City.
Hedman, who played for Celtic before retiring, turned down an offer leaving the Eastlands club with only former Coventry loanee Kasper Schmeichel and Tobias Johansson as their only fit keepers.
