Coventry City boss Chris Coleman has admitted that City need some extra players to avoid relegation. The new City manager has already tried to sign former Sky Blue Gary McSheffrey, Freddie Eastwood and Heidar Helguson but was not able to do so, although he is expected to bid again for Eastwood and Coventry kid McSheffrey.

"What we have to do it bring in some help before the chances dry up," said Coleman to the CT.

"We need to bring in one or two new faces which we will try to do this week. We will keep playing in the same manner but we need a little bit of help.

"The players need a bit of help because sometimes when players are low on confidence they need a rest. Michael Mifsud is our top scorer and having a bad patch.

"We have got Leon Best and Jay Tabb on the left and all game they were getting in good positions but not doing what they should be, so I think it will be good for the lads to see a few new faces to give them a lift."

"We thought we had one last week and then it failed right at the death, so I don't take things for granted anymore.

"We spoke with someone on Friday and that fell through, and we have got to keep trying until the window closes. But if we can't bring anyone in I think we have got enough to be safe."
