Henderson Plays For England U21's In Euros Action

Former Coventry City loanee Jordan Henderson captained England U21's in their opening European U21 Championship game against Italy in Israel.

Stuart Pearce's side thought they had taken the lead in the 49th minute through a Craig Dawson header which was ruled out. 

Italy took a 1-0 win with an Insigne 78th minute free kick which went over the wall and past Jack Butland in front of a crowd of 10,675 at the Broomfield Stadium.

Also in Group A, Israel drew 2-2 with Norway who take on England on Saturday.
