The Sunderland winger, who impressed during his time at City in 2008,
has been named in a 19 man squad by former Sky Blue Stuart Pearce for the game against Uzbekistan at Bristol City on Tuesday night.
Henderson has not been called up for England U21 before and will join another former City loanee Jack Cork who is also in the squad.
