Coventry City defender Martin Cranie feels that having Hermann Hreidarsson with him at the back will help the team.
Cranie played with the 37 year old at Portsmouth and told the CT’s Andy Turner: “Hermann is a top man – a lively character to have about the place.
“He’s a bit of a mad man to be honest but he will lift the spirit in the dressing room even more and help keep the lads upbeat with a good atmosphere off the field which will hopefully translate onto the pitch.
“He’s a good talker and not afraid to get stuck in. He’s been around for a while and shows his experience because on occasions a young lad maybe would have gone to head the ball and he let it run out.
“So he’s a breath of fresh air because we had a solid back four last Saturday and if we can keep a few clean sheets and the lads can score a few then I am sure we can get out of this.”
