Baker missed Saturday's draw against Reading but City boss Aidy Boothroyd hopes to have him back in the squad to face Norwich City at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.
Speaking to the CT, Boothroyd said: "We are really hopeful that because of the quality of our medical staff and the surgeon he has been to in Germany that we can get Carl back for the weekend."
