Rochdale boss Keith Hill said that he enjoyed the 0-0 draw against Coventry City at Spotland.
Hill told Dale Player HD: “I enjoyed the game.
“I enjoyed the way we played and the way the opposition played. You’ve got to show respect to the opposition but I thought we were superb in the first half, although so were they to be fair. I think we could have scored a few and I think they could have.
“I don’t think anyone could argue with the result and I think both teams would have been disappointed if they had lost. I can’t say 100-percent that they deserved to win and equally so with us.
“I think we showed them a lot of respect but I think tonight was more like us, with respect to the intensity that we played at. We’ve just got to focus in on continuing to make progress with performances like that.

“There was a lot missing from our performance from Saturday [against Bury] – I don’t know if there was a little bit anxiety about the amount of goals that we had conceded - but we’ve arrested that and tonight, on another day, I think we score.
“We haven’t scored but I don’t think that’s because we didn’t create opportunities. I think we created plenty of opportunities and had good penetration.
“I was really pleased with the performance and I really, really enjoyed the game.”
Hill continued: “Josh [Lillis] was absolutely superb and I thought there was some very good defending.
“Coventry have got pace and I think the way we play suits the way that they want to play because we like to press and we like to pass. If we do give it away then they can use the penetration with the pace that they’ve got, but equally so, they’re very good at keeping the ball and they play from the back.
“I think they’re an excellent side but I didn’t want to change the way that we do things. I didn’t want to change our style and I didn’t want to play like an away side at home because I’ve got to stick to our principles.
“Ultimately it’s about points and winning games – that’s the industry I’m in – but I think that performance today, on another day, will definitely get us points - the three points.”
