Rochdale manager Keith Hill has told his club website that his side will not be under-estimating Coventry City.
Hill said:“Coventry City are steeped in heritage, tradition and success. They’re a big, big football club in League One. They’re going through times of adversity results wise but the fact of the matter is that it shouldn't make an impact over 90 minutes.
“Sometimes you need to make a change to get the best performances and results from a group of players and they’ve done that. I think Mark Venus [caretaker manager] is doing a great job and they’re benefiting from Mark’s input. We’ve never under estimated anyone in this league and we won’t start underestimating Coventry. They’re a big, big fish so don’t let that be underestimated.
“The fact of the matter is that they’re superseding us by a country mile when it comes to this year’s budget. But that gets lost in the wash with respect to how well we’re doing with respect to the finances that we’ve got. We don’t compare financially, but it’s important that we at least match them over 90 minutes. That’s our philosophy and our strategy – we’re trying to match every team on matchday over 90/ 95 minutes.”
