Sky Blues defender Andy Whing was today visiting the hospital to find out if he had broken his nose during City Reserves 2-1 win at Leicester. If it is broken,it will be the fourth time that the defender voted Association of Coventry City Supporters Clubs & Groups Young Player Of The Year has broken his nose. Whing is expected to be patched up and should be on the bench for the game at Leeds on Saturday.

Our colleagues at Birmingham City website "Singing The Blues" are reporting that Leeds are the leading contenders to sign Stern John with Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell admitting: "We've agreed everything and the decision is down to the player where he wants to play his football. "The lad is a proven goalscorer. "He's pacy, has an eye for goal and he's proven at this level".

Meanwhile, legal representatives have filed an appeal with Coventry Crown Court against the sentence given to Lee Hughes for causing death by dangerous driving. The former City and West Brom striker is currently serving a six year jail term at Ashwell Jail in Leicestershire.
