Coventry City club captain Stephen Hughes has been talking about City's win over Sunderland yesterday.
Speaking to the club website,Hughes commented: "It was a great victory to be honest. It wasn't the best game to sit and watch, it was blood and thunder as you would expect and we are happy to get the win.
Hughes On City Win
"It was disappointing last season and all players have to go through that at some stage and you just have to stay strong. We've all come back this year fit and I thought that we deserved to win the game in the end.
"I missed playing football and you don't realise how much you have missed it until you are stuck in the stand watching games and that was motivation enough to get back. The lads did well last year without me in the team and I just sat there and wanted to get back and fit."
