Hughes Stays As Skipper

Stephen Hughes has retained his captain's armband. Hughes took over as skipper last season after Tim Sherwood who was strangely given the role by Peter Reid, fell injured.

The skipper's armband seemed to suit the midfielder/stand in keeper and his performances earned him the club's Player Of The Year and Players Player Of The Year awards at the Annual Awad Ceremony in May.

Having signed a three year deal,Hughes will lead the Sky Blues into the new season starting on the tour to Ibiza.
