Stephen Hughes has thanked the City supporters for the reception he received on Saturday when he was a late substitute in the home win against Burnley.
The midfielder, who has been the model professional whilst in first team exile, told the CT: "I hope I have a future at City. "I love playing for the club. The reception the fans gave me when I went on was great and I can't thank them enough for that. They have been nothing but fantastic to me since I have been here for three years now.

"So I certainly hope I have got a future here. I have got another year and a half on my contract. I don't want to leave and we will wait and see what happens. But I am really hopeful and I just want to repay the fans' faith in me."
City boss Micky Adams said: "I have said many times before, I will use players when I see fit."
