Coventry City midfielder Stephen Hunt has said that he is working hard to get fit.
The former Republic Of Ireland international made his Sky Blues debut on Saturday in the 3-0 loss to Southend and is on a short term contract for the rest of this month.
Hunt told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “I haven’t played any games since whatever it is so I have worked hard to get myself fit behind the scenes.
“To come in and play 90 minutes is a credit but I know I can do better.
“In terms of my body I still feel well able to get up and down and fit enough to be sharp enough. One or two more games and I think I’d have probably scored in the first half when Jim O’Brien played me in on my right foot and I took a touch.
“If I was nice and sharp I’d have finished it on my right foot but that’s one of those things where it was nice to be in on goal and I have to take confidence from that.”
