The deal for the Sky Blues to sign Stoke City striker Carl Asaba is still on.
Micky Adams and Stoke boss Tony Puliis resurrected the deal after the 0-0 draw at Highfield Road on Saturday.
The Stoke board had initially demanded a £100,000 fee for the 31 year old who joined the Potters in August 2003.
Asaba has been down the Brittania Stadium side's pecking order and has been forced to play in wide midfield rather than his customary position as a striker.
