Hussey Out For Three Months

Coventry City have confirmed that left back Chris Hussey has broken his metatarsal again and will be out of action for three months.

The young defender had gone to Crewe on loan and had only been there for two days and was training with the Crewe squad when he suffered a recurrence of the same injury that had sidelined him for much of the season.

City boss Aidy Boothroyd said to the CT: "He's got a broken metatarsal, which was a freak injury in the same place as before so it is very disappointing.

"He's disappointed but what he needs to do now is purely growing up and getting used to be being a professional footballer, and part of that is injury. He will need to get as fit as he can and it is the chance to work on other parts of his game."

"He will come back into the fold and, with a bit of luck, it will be like having a new player come the back end of February. He's got the mental strength. He has no choice, he either sits and sulks or gets on with it like Gary Deegan, who has had much worse. Being injured is part and parcel of football and you have to be able to deal with it."
